Autobots
Emergency Close
Sell an Autobot's full position with one button, without waiting for an alert.
Why it was added
An Autobot normally sells only when your TradingView strategy sends a sell alert. If that alert never becomes an order — it didn't fire, it failed, or you simply need out right now — the position stays open until the next signal. Emergency Close lets you sell it yourself, through the same order path an alert uses.
How to use it
- Open Profile and turn on Manual override. It is off by default.
- Go to Autobots and open Current Balances. Press Refresh to see which Autobots hold a position.
- Open the Manual override section and press Close now next to the Autobot.
- Read the confirmation (it shows the approximate quantity and exchange) and press Close position.
- The result appears on screen: the quantity sold and the fill price, or the exchange's error.
When to use it
Use it when your strategy has already exited but the Autobot didn't, when you want out of a position outside the strategy's signals, or when something looks wrong with a coin or an exchange and you don't want to wait for a bar to close. It works even if the Autobot is paused — pausing means "ignore signals", not "freeze my money".
Risks and limits
- It is a market sell of the whole position. You get whatever price the market gives at that moment, minus the exchange's fee. There is no partial sell and it cannot be undone.
- It is not a stop-loss. It does nothing until you press it — nothing watches the price for you.
- It does not touch TradingView. Your alert keeps running, so the strategy may buy again on its next buy signal.
- On Upbit, Bithumb and CoinOne, which share one API key across your Autobots, only that Autobot's tracked position is sold, not the whole account balance.
- A position worth less than the exchange's minimum order (5,000 KRW on the Korean exchanges) cannot be sold at market.
- If the order goes through but the filled quantity can't be confirmed, the screen tells you to check your exchange balance. Do that before trying again.
- A second press within 30 seconds of a successful close is refused, as a guard against double submission.
