Emergency Buy

Place a manual buy at the configured order size for an Autobot that is currently flat.

Why it was added

The mirror of Emergency Close. If a buy alert never became an order but your strategy is now in a position, the Autobot is flat while the strategy is not. Buying on the exchange by hand fixes the holding but leaves the Autobot without an entry cost, so when the strategy later sells, the trade is booked with no cost basis. Emergency Buy places the buy through the Autobot itself so it is recorded properly.

How to use it

  1. Open Profile and turn on Manual override (off by default).
  2. Go to Autobots → Current Balances → Manual override, and press Refresh.
  3. Find the Autobot (it must be flat and not paused) and press Buy now.
  4. Check the confirmation: it shows the order size, the same one a TradingView buy alert would place. Press Buy now to confirm.
  5. The strategy's next sell alert sells it as usual.

When to use it

Only when your strategy is already in a position that the Autobot doesn't hold — typically after a missed or failed buy alert. Compare with your TradingView strategy tester or chart first.

Risks and limits

  • Use it only when the strategy is already holding. If the strategy is still waiting to buy, its next buy alert will place another buy on top of this one. Nothing blocks that.
  • It is a market buy at the Autobot's usual order size: a percentage of your available balance on Coinbase, OKX, Binance, Bitget and Bybit, or the fixed KRW amount on Upbit, Bithumb and CoinOne.
  • On a shared-key exchange the amount comes out of the shared KRW balance, exactly as an alert's buy would.
  • It is refused while the Autobot is paused (nothing would sell it), if the Autobot already holds a position, or if a shared-key Autobot has no order amount set.
  • Only one attempt per Autobot per 30 seconds. If the order goes through but the fill can't be confirmed, check your exchange balance before pressing again.
  • There is no partial buy and no undo; to reverse it, use Emergency Close.
